I have been working hard for Pierce County residents as a Judge Pro Tem for 22 years. I love the experience and it has motivated me to run for the office. As a Judge, I aspire to help people turn their lives around. I do this because I know helping someone make a change for the better, not only improves the life of that individual, but also makes the community safer.
Every time I take the bench it is an opportunity to learn. My years of experience as a Judge Pro Tem provides the necessary experience to handle all of Pierce County District Court’s criminal and civil cases. Whether it be a DUI, traffic infraction, small claims, contract dispute, or personal injury case, I have the experience to make the right decision.
My most important qualification for Judge is that I genuinely care about each and every person that comes before me. The people seen in District Court for the most part are your neighbors, co-workers and friends. These are not hard felons. Often times their problems stem from substance abuse, veteran issues, or mental health symptoms. I see every case as unique, every situation different. I will make sure my judicial decisions are not only the best for the safety of the community, but also what is best for that particular individual.
I will be fair-minded and flexible to give each case the due and careful consideration it deserves. I will serve as a positive influence and role model for those with whom I encounter in the court room and in the community. I will serve with honor and integrity.
Judges can help people make changes in their lives for the better. I have seen this first hand and I know I can make a difference as a District Court Judge.
If people are judged by the company they keep, there are lots of good reasons to support Karl Williams for District Court Judge.
